- As a Graduate Field Service Engineer, you will provide on-site technical customer service across North East Italy, working with clients to optimize water treatment systems. You\'ll install and maintain chemical feed equipment, conduct water analysis, and act as a technical consultant, combining engineering expertise with customer relationship management to drive system performance improvements while developing technical and commercial skills in a heavy industrial environment.
Day-to-Day Duties and Learnings
- Install, service, and maintain chemical feed and water treatment equipment at customer sites across North East Italy
- Perform water analysis, collect samples, and interpret results to provide technical recommendations to customers
- Work with PLC controls, troubleshoot and repair pumps, instruments, and control panels
- Conduct preventive maintenance and calibrate feed pumps, controllers, and instrumentation
- Act as technical consultant and liaison with customer management, building strong client relationships
- Manage chemical inventory and maintain adequate supplies of spare parts, reagents, and sample containers
- Collaborate with Sales teams to identify new service opportunities and optimize value-generation plans
- Plan efficient weekly schedules, optimize service delivery, and ensure compliance with all safety policies and Italian laws
Qualifications
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar (essential)
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Other European languages are useful
- Possession of driving license (license B) required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar platforms
- Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory, including overnight stays
