Account Receivable & VAT Specialist

ZTE is looking for a Account Receivable & VAT specialist to expand our Finance Team. The role will be based in Rome (Italy) with direct report to Finance Directors and will support the continuous improvement, management and coordination of all finance processes in particular related to VAT and account receivable.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Performs professional and/or supervisory accounting responsibilities related to the interpretation, processing, of financial data;
• Processes and/or oversees accounts payable and/or receivable and ensures compliance with established procedures, principles, statutes, and regulations;
• Performs basic tax computations such as:
• Reviewing VAT application on daily transactions and calculate monthly VAT settlement;
• Calculate monthly withholding tax payments by reviewing withholding tax application criteria.
• Reviews and approves the processing of invoices, vouchers, adjustments, refunds, expenditures, and disbursements in accordance with established financial procedures; investigates discrepancies, recommends and takes appropriate corrective action within established guidelines;
• Interprets and applies garnishments to ensure adherence to procedures and regulations; reviews pay rate changes and adjusts withholdings; and responds to interrogatories;
• Assists in compiling, preparing, analyzing, and presenting detailed financial statements, reports, and data;

The successful Candidate:

• Bachelor Degree in Economic field;
• Experience in the role: 2 years in professional firms;
• Excellent English: written and spoken
• Knowledge of AR processes and basic accounting principles;
• Knowledge of VAT regulations;
• Organized, able to prioritize, with a great attention to details and accurate and you have strong analytical skills;
• Able to find solutions and solve problems;
• Excellent user of MS Office in particular Excel.
