Accountant – Accounting & Reporting

Key Accountabilities

• Standalone financial closing: Prepare standalone financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually. Responsible for assigned tasks for preparation and reporting of standalone financials with accuracy and timeliness. Tasks include, but are not limited to, accounts close with ERP, preparation of financial data by business segments and various analyses to confirm accuracy of financial data.
• Consolidated financial closing: Responsible for assigned tasks for preparation of consolidated financials with accuracy and timeliness. Tasks include, but are not limited to, intercompany elimination, preparation of consolidated worksheet, set of financial statements and relevant supporting materials.
• Various financial reporting: Prepare various data and reports and perform analytical procedures for management decision-making.
• Other accounting tasks: Carry out day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR reconsolidation, bank reconciliation, expense processing and VAT filings with AP/AR team, Treasury team and Tax team.
• Financial audit: Gather and provide supporting evidence and liaise with external and internal auditors.
• Act as day-to-day point of contact for the Finance function and statutory auditors as technical accounting subject matter expert.

Skills and Experience

• Essential:
  • Previous experience and knowledge of operational financial reporting processes.
  • Technical knowledge of IFRS, FRC guidance, as well as statutory requirements applicable to the companies in UK, Italy and Japan.
• Desiderabile:
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues of various backgrounds, relaying financial concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
