Job Description

• Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents, make adjustments, as necessary;
• Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies;
• Responsible in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries;
• Investigate, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records;
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. (e.g., Customer Service, Procurement, Warehouse, etc);
• Manage the preparation of monthly and year‑end closings according to Local/US GAAP;
• Liaise relationship between Internal Dept. and External Auditors to fulfill all Audit requirements;
• Preparation of the VAT and other local taxes for Italy;
• Ensuring compliance with all Avery Dennison Policies (Accounting & non‑Accounting related).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economy or related field;
• 2-4 years accounting & taxes (Corporate or Big Four);
• Fluency in English;
• Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of accounting and general ledger;
• Very good analytical skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are essential;
• Very good IT knowledge, in particular Excel and Oracle exposure;
• HFM Knowledge as a nice to have.
