The Accounting Analyst is responsible for performing general clerical duties within the accounting department.
Essential Job Duties:
- Timely and accurate processing of account payable duties
- Processing invoices by entering them into system
- Liaising with operations department to identify and solve any misalignements with provisional costs
- Making copies of check runs and matching them to the appropriate invoice
- Filing of processed invoices, checks and PO's
- Performing research as needed
- Monitoring client/vendor account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
- Communicating with clients/vendors via phone, email, mail or personally
- Other duties as assigned
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Ability to identify errors, and employ problem solving skills to correct
- Proficient in relevant computer applications (i.e MS Office)
- Good knowledge of Italian tax law and Italian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Flexibility and adaptivity
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Previous experience in freight forwarding companies (preferred)

Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.
