Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality and timely execution of all financial activities, including accounting, financial planning, fiscal procedures, treasury, tax and investment analyses, while complying with legal and internal control standards and Linde’s financial policies.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to execute the accounting functional strategy.
- Manage relationships with finance & accounting shared services providers, stabilise processes, solve problems, and handle emergency payment management.
- Handle retained accounting activities on a local basis, liaise with headquarters, oversee internal control and check procedures, manage IAS/IFRS and local GAAP compliance, stock accounting, accruals, provisions, and depreciations.
- Serve as the referee for reporting: ensure accurate monthly and quarterly reporting and year‑end closing in line with local GAAP, IFRS, and Group policies.
- Manage fiscal matters such as transfer pricing, income taxes, fiscal declarations, monitoring new laws, and adapting applications.
- Maintain local banking relationships.
- Act in compliance with Group guidelines, accounting rules, tax laws, and other relevant regulations in Finance & Administration.
- Commit to safety and environmental sustainability.
- Manage the internal control system, including specific finance Group internal controls and compliance governance (KIC) controls.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Economics and at least 1 year of experience in the same function within a multinational industrial company, with 3–4 years in a large audit firm considered beneficial.
- Experience in business analysis of financial results, risk management, accounting, and finance reporting.
- Deep understanding of financial, accounting, and fiscal requirements in line with Italian laws.
- Proficiency in Navision and the MS Office suite.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Italian.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to translate opportunities into actionable changes.
- Project management skills, strong communication, problem‑solving competence, and ability to deliver results.
