Repair Development Product Manager - Aero Alliance

The Aero Alliance Repair Development Product Manager will support new repair development by working closely with GE Aerospace & Channels (GE Vernova and Baker Hughes) engineering teams and other suppliers. The goal is to identify, build the business case for, and execute new repair development to reduce product costs, improve turnaround times, and achieve other key outcomes for the Aero Alliance and its customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Drive repair development strategy for Aero Alliance (a 50/50 joint venture between GE Power & Baker Hughes) for key product lines.
  2. Support creation and execution of Repair Multi-Generational Product Plan (MGPP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) for MRO expansion and Level 5 component repairs.
  3. Manage full business cases for repairs, including engineering, P&E, and other related capital or operational expenses, to develop new repairs for existing fleets and new products.
  4. Support visibility for total repair entitlement by platform (LM2500, LM9000) in collaboration with platform leaders.
  5. Partner with operations to expand shop capabilities, including insourcing and new products.
  6. Increase repair development awareness within the Aero Alliance network by monitoring repair yields, repetitive DRs, top spare parts, and KPIs.
  7. Collaborate with the Cost-Out team to explore cost reduction projects, validate business cases with finance, and implement ideas from cross-functional teams.
  8. Identify opportunities to improve turnaround times for Level 5 repairs across the supply chain of aeroderivative technology and develop action plans.
  9. Drive partnership improvements for GEA Level 5 shop performance through recurrent reviews.
  10. Ensure timely execution of repair development programs and activities.
  11. Implement operational rigor on execution and process improvements to meet customer needs, including prioritization and collaboration with stakeholders.
  12. Work closely with engineering and operations for repair execution, qualification, and development.
  13. Facilitate vendor scouting for repairs in collaboration with sourcing and industrialization teams.
  14. Define the most beneficial repair strategies for the Americas region to maximize repair value.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, business, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in product management, engineering, or relevant technical functions.
  • Proven competence in the aeroderivative repair industry.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
