Mission description
What does the role look like? We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Supplier Quality team. The primary focus of this position is to work closely with our Suppliers to ensure we deliver affordable, high-quality parts that meet our Customer's dynamic needs. The Supplier Quality Engineer will provide support to the Supply Chain organization to improve suppliers' quality as well as be the quality interface, expertise and support to suppliers to provide assurance that our products meet Customer and Authority requirements. The candidate shall be highly motivated and effective team player with strong communication and influential skills. What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like? Supplier notification of Quality issues, conduct investigations on Escapes, if necessary, at Suppliers' facility to identify root causes, define corrective actions and follow up identified actions. Management of Suppliers Concession Requests Perform scheduled audits to Suppliers based on AS9100 and/or other quality system requirements. Review and approval of compliance documentation including First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP, and Safran required inspection documents. Issuing Corrective Actions Requests to Suppliers, evaluate, challenge, and approve Suppliers reply using Safran business tools. Support the execution of work transfers, Eight Disciplines Problem Solving (8D), and QN reduction initiatives at supplier locations.
What will you bring to the role? Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, technology, or other relevant technical disciplines 5 years related experience with a minimum of 3 years in the quality area Good knowledge of production routers and of manufacturing process Ability in reading and understanding technical drawings Desirable skills: Practitioner in Process Flow Diagram, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans Knowledge of PPAP process Auditing experience AS9100-PART21/Par145 knowledge
