Experteer Overview
In this role you establish and operate responsible AI and data governance within the AI & Data Center of Excellence. You ensure AI systems and data assets comply with regulatory and ethical standards while embedding guardrails into technical patterns. You will drive governance across the data lifecycle, partnering with architects and transformation leads to build trust, transparency, and accountability. - Design and maintain the AI Risk Registry and risk-tier classification (EU AI Act alignment)
- Define approval workflows, documentation, and lifecycle checkpoints for AI initiatives
- Monitor AI model performance for drift, fairness, and post-deployment compliance
- Serve as primary point of contact for AI regulatory inquiries and audits
- Conduct AI ethics and bias assessments with technical teams
- Operationalize the Data Governance Council (agenda, decisions, stakeholder coordination)
- Define Critical Data Element (CDE) definitions, ownership, and quality baselines
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) pilot initiatives with governance frameworks
- Define governance for metadata, cataloging, and data quality tooling; coordinate with IT on ownership and operations
- Establish data retention, archival, and disposal policies aligned with GDPR and compliance
- Collaborate with IT/Security on access controls, encryption, and audit trails
- Draft and maintain AI and Data policies, standards, and procedures for regulatory compliance
- Perform compliance gap assessments and remediation plans
- Provide governance training and maintain a knowledge base for transparency
- Partner with Architects and Legal teams to ensure governance in designs and audits
- Engage with auditors, regulators, and industry bodies as SME for AI and Data governance
Responsabilità
- 5+ years in Data Management, Data Governance, or Information Risk roles with governance implementation experience
- Strong ability to translate regulations into actionable policies
- Expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and Critical Data Element (CDE) definition
- Proficient in risk classification methodologies
- Excellent collaboration with Solutions Architects and Legal teams; audit-facing presence
- Professional proficiency in English; Italian or other European languages are a plus
