Role description:
We are looking for an AIT Engineer with 1–4 years of hands-on experience in the assembly, integration, and testing of complex electronic systems. The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams, actively contributing to the integration and validation of space subsystems and ground support equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, integration, and inspection activities on electronic/electromechanical systems;
- Support design and testing phases with a focus on manufacturability;
- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with AIT procedures and standards (ECSS knowledge is a plus);
- Manage and maintain laboratory infrastructure and tools;
- Create and update process and technical documentation;
- Support troubleshooting and integration issue resolution alongside engineering teams;
- Contribute to the development of test systems and ground support equipment (EGSE, MGSE);
- Participate in validation, qualification, and acceptance testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in AIT activities for complex electronic or electromechanical systems (e.g., satellites, avionics, industrial systems, simulators);
- Strong manual skills in electronic assembly, including hand-soldering of 0603 and 0402 SMD components and ICs, following military/space-grade quality standards (this is a must-have);
- Familiarity with AIT processes and standards (ECSS is an advantage);
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation;
- High attention to detail and ability to follow rigorous procedures;
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 preferred) and familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is a plus;
