Overview
Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control: This position requires that the selected candidate be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government‑imposed requirements related to the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment and ongoing maintenance of complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab environments
- Ensure robust network operations supporting launch and mission activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation
- Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives
- Enhance and manage monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
- Mentor junior engineers on operational best practices and troubleshooting techniques
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
- Participate in on‑call rotation for critical infrastructure support
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network reliability for mission‑critical operations
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
- 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment
- 1+ year of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS technologies

Benefits and Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges by location:
- USA, CA, Northridge – $136,000 – $184,000 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue – $136,000 – $184,000 USD annually
