Ammonia Synthesis & Industrial Decarbonization Expert (Cat. II)

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The intended start date is July 2025 (the “ Start Date ”) and the period of implementation of the Assignment will be 20 months from this date (the “ Period of Implementation ”).

Key Expert: Ammonia Synthesis & Industrial Decarbonization Expert (Cat. II)

☝️ Qualifications and skills:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field ( minimum requirement ).
• Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English ( minimum requirement ).
• Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD, or similar) will be considered an asset .

☝️ General professional experience:

• At least 10 years of professional experience in industrial decarbonization, ammonia synthesis, and process optimization ( minimum requirement ).

☝️ Specific professional experience:

• Proven experience in the design and feasibility assessment of ammonia production projects, as demonstrated in at least three projects in the expert’s CV ( minimum requirement ).
• Expertise in industrial energy efficiency, emissions reduction strategies, and regulatory compliance will be considered an asset .
• Experience working on projects involving green ammonia, hydrogen integration, and EU industrial decarbonization policies will be considered an asset .
• Experience working in coal transition regions within the EU will be considered an asset .
