Job Description
Your mission
Based in Milan, you’ll partner with ITSEE leadership to drive performance across Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Moldova, and Croatia. You’ll run deep‑dive analyses, support core planning cycles, and turn data into clear, actionable recommendations. You’ll report to the Regional Head of Finance & Strategy. Your analytical and financial rigor is what makes the strategy credible.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic projects: run structured analyses and co‑lead defined workstreams to help senior stakeholders solve complex, high‑priority problems.
- Work closely with leadership: collaborate day‑to‑day with the Head of Finance & Strategy ITSEE and senior team members.
- Identify issues → drive actions: spot problems early, propose data‑backed plans, and help local teams execute and track results.
- Insight generation: curate reliable data and deliver concise, decision‑ready docs and readouts.
- Financial analysis: build business cases, read and challenge P&Ls, and translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
- Tooling: maintain and enhance dashboards and BigQuery queries. Effective use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) is required — not just to accelerate analysis, but to build clearer frameworks, improve team efficiency, and move projects faster.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: work across functions (Ops, Commercial, Marketing, Legal) and countries, with regular exposure to international and senior leadership across the region.
Qualifications
- Strategic and hands‑on: take full ownership of analysis and execution, challenge assumptions, drive actions, and measure yourself by real‑world impact.
- Problem solving: break issues into clear components, define hypotheses, run rigorous analysis, and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Curiosity & learning agility: ask sharp questions, absorb feedback quickly, and grow fast in a structured team environment.
- Prioritization & ownership: own workstreams end‑to‑end, keep momentum, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes.
- Communication: clear, structured storytelling – decision‑ready one‑pagers and crisp live readouts.
- Collaboration: elevate teammates, share context, and document logic/assumptions for repeatability.
- Experience: up to 2 years of experience, or a recent graduate with strong analytical foundations. Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Tools: intermediate SQL (preferably BigQuery), strong Sheets/Slides, Looker; AI tools (Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for day‑to‑day analysis – required. Python or experience building lightweight automations/agents with AI APIs is a nice‑to‑have.
What you’ll get
- High‑pace environment with real ownership from day one – your work has immediate visibility and impact.
- Broad exposure to strategy, finance, and operations across 8 countries and multiple business functions.
- Stretch challenges that push you outside your comfort zone.
- Coaching and mentorship from senior leaders genuinely invested in your development.
- Talent density: a team that thinks rigorously, moves fast, and raises the bar.
- Large access to data and cross‑functional resources to make things happen for real.
Additional Benefits
- Equity plan.
- Private health insurance.
- Monthly Glovo credit.
- Discounts on transportation, food, and child‑care.
- Extra time off and the freedom to work from home two days a week, with remote work available up to three weeks a year.
- Enhanced parental leave and office‑based nursery.
- Online therapy and wellbeing benefits.
