Application & Project Engineer – ⚙️ Mechanical

Location: Italy, Turin | Contract: Full Time

Functions:

• Located in Torino – Italy, possibility to travel according to customer needs, up to 50% of the time.
• Perform a mix of pre-sales, post-sales and technical engineering activities.
• Perform calculations for test-cases or software benchmarks or consulting for mechanical 0D/1D/3D applications with Simcenter Amesim software on topics like:
• Automotive Powertrain
• Aeronautical actuations, flight control
• Mechanical industry cams and mechanisms
• Converting and material transportation
• Virtual commissioning and in-operation monitoring with virtual sensors
• Participate in the offering process to assist the sales team in determining customer needs.
• Develop the project by creative technical thinking.
• Listen to customer needs during pre-sales activity and fulfill project tasks.
• Maintain product knowledge in terms of theory, practice and use of software systems.
• Attend the necessary internal training to develop simulation skills.
• Provide feedback related to software performance.
• Liaise with the internal team to resolve customer issues that may arise during engineering activities.
• Provide necessary reporting to track progress.

Profile:

• A degree in mechanical engineering and possibly a minimum of 2 years’ experience in hi-tech project engineering.
• Experience in modelling mechanical systems and components.
• Knowledge of FEM, Multibody 3D, frequency analysis is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of 1D and System Simulation products and applications (Amesim, Matlab/Simulink/Simscape or similar).
• Able to adapt well to a fast-changing environment.
• Mothertongue Italian .
• Willing to travel in case of customer requests.
