About the Role
As we look to the future, we are seeking an Application Specialist to support our energy storage business in Italy. This role will provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support to local sales teams, distributors, installers, and customers, helping to drive business growth, customer trust and successful project delivery in the Italian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent TCL SOLAR brand in the assigned region providing technical support to enable brand successful sales activities amongst distributors, project developers, installers and final investors.
- 1st & 2nd level customer contact for all technical inquiries covering pre-and-post sales processes from system design to product performance and warranty-related topics.
- Conduct customers training and technical sessions related to product usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Provide support for system commissioning, remote diagnostics, and post-installation guidance.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Technical Support, and Engineering teams to improve product application in local market.
- Use PV simulation and monitoring tools (e.g., PVSyst, monitoring platforms) to analyze system performance and provide insights into customers’ post-installation.
- Ensure technical accuracy and customer alignment in service-level agreements and warranty documentation.
- Build and maintain trusted professional relationships with installers, service partners, and end customers.
- Support onsite installations / commissioning, especially during first time installations – travel required up to 60%.
Requirements
- Solid technical understanding of PV systems, including system design, installation, commissioning, operation & maintenance, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience supporting distributors, installers, EPCs, project developers, or end customers in pre-sales and post-sales technical scenarios.
- Familiarity with PV simulation and monitoring tools such as PVSyst, PVsyst, Helioscope, SolarEdge monitoring platforms, inverter monitoring systems, or other relevant performance analysis tools.
- Experience handling warranty-related technical inquiries, product performance claims, service documentation, and customer technical complaints is preferred.
- Strong ability to conduct technical training, product presentations, troubleshooting sessions, and onsite guidance for customers and partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Italian, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Technical Support teams to address customer needs and improve product application in local markets.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned region, including onsite installation and commissioning support; travel requirement up to 60%.
- Valid driving license is necessary.
