At Bryden Wood, we are expanding our teams in Milan to work on large scale projects for the biggest names in "Big Tech" and the Industrial sector.


We are looking for an Architect to integrate within our Data Centre and large-scale industrial projects. This is your chance to work in a truly international environment, fully integrated with our UK HQ, while enjoying benefits that set a new standard for the Italian market.


THE ROLE

You will be fully integrated within our Architectural Team to develop our projects in Italy as well as being a key member on other international projects, working closely with all the other disciplines (Structures, Civils, MEP and Sustainability) and clients to deliver innovative designs.

  • Support and drive architectural design development across RIBA Stages 3 and 4 or the local design stage equivalents, transitioning concepts into fully coordinated technical designs and tender packages.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local building regulations and international standards, adapting technical design strategies to suit specific project jurisdictions.
  • Support the compilation and production of official permit documentation for submission to local authorities and professional bodies across various international locations.
  • Develop spatial coordination , technical details, and material specifications under the guidance of Senior Architects and Project Leads.
  • Produce comprehensive architectural documentation : Create detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and technical details, ensuring effective integration with structural and MEP infrastructure.
  • Collaborate seamlessly in a multidisciplinary environment , actively participating in spatial coordination and clash resolution alongside engineering teams.


WHAT WE NEED

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Architecture (or equivalent 5-year professional degree). Professional registration (e.g., ARB/RIBA Part 3, Ordine degli Architetti or international equivalent) is required.
  • Must-Have: Solid grasp of architectural technical design development (specifically RIBA Stages 3 and 4 or local equivalents) and the ability to research and apply diverse international building regulations.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional post-qualification experience, actively delivering technical packages.
  • Permit Submissions: Demonstrable experience supporting and compiling official permit documentation for local authorities and professional bodies across various global jurisdictions.
  • Project Background: Solid experience on Large-Scale Industrial, Infrastructure, or complex commercial projects. Experience in Data Centres is a plus, but not required—we will teach you the sector.
  • Language: Full professional fluency in spoken and written English and Italian.
  • Revit & Navisworks: Highly competent in the use of Revit for detailed modelling/documentation and Navisworks for multidisciplinary spatial coordination and clash detection.
