Direct Area Manager Europe (Aftermarket Sales & Equipment Sales)
Description
As a Sales Area Manager Europe you will be responsible for the development of Hanwha Power Systems Centrifugal Compressors Aftermarket and New Equipment business.
You will play a crucial role in promoting and supporting the sale of aftermarket products and services covering European customers.
Within an assigned territory, you will also be responsible for selling centrifugal compressors to direct accounts.
You will maintain and grow relations with existing customers, as well as develop direct client portfolio.
The role is preferably based in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan) depending on the candidate's country of origin, and reports to European Subsidiary Management
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and promote sales of aftermarket products to existing installation base in Europe.
Support customers on service and maintenance planning, parts inventory management and energy efficiency improvement
- Manage Direct Sales for new centrifugal compressor units for direct accounts within the assigned territory
- Maximize order intake through regular visits and constant communication to customers
- Achieve or exceed annual sales target for the assigned territory/accounts
- Maintain and grow Hanwha direct customer network focusing on customer satisfaction, long-term relationships and service agreements
- Collaborate in developing new products or services based on market requirements
- Assist and collaborate with inside personnel to prepare and submit proposals
- Coordinate with Korean HQ and receive operative support as necessary on all role’s responsibilities, from business development, tender management, and sales negotiation
- Report to management on a regular basis
Skills & Competencies
- Strong results-driven approach
- Communication and team working proven capabilities
- Experience in sales management, including technical, commercial, contract negotiation and long term service agreements
- Sales channels performance monitoring and necessary upgrade to ensure maximum effectiveness
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships, internally and externally, with existing, new and prospects customers
Experience & Background
- University degree in Engineering is highly preferred
- At least 5-year experience in aftermarket sales management
- Additional experience in new equipment sales management will be highly valued
- Rotating machinery business experience is highly preferred
- Experience within companies with international and intercultural business environment
- Open to travel in Europe in the range of 50% of the working time, depending on business needs
- Fluent knowledge of Italian and English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of German language will be a plus
