Who are we looking for?

We are hiring an AI Engineer to design and develop Agentic Solutions that automate business workflows. You will join a dynamic team, contributing to innovative projects ranging from traditional AI to the latest Generative AI advancements. Working primarily within the GCP ecosystem , mainly in the Retail Industry , you will manage the entire lifecycle of AI Agents—from rapid POC prototyping to production release and Registry governance—leveraging the Agent Development Kit and modern protocols like MCP and A2A .

Key Responsibilities

• Agentic Development: Design and deploy advanced agentic solutions using the Google Agent Development Kit framework.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end agent lifecycle (build, deploy, monitor, optimize) using the Vertex AI Suite (Agent Builder / Agent Engine).
• Registry Governance: Curate a corporate Registry of Tools and Agents , ensuring governance and reusability for internal and client deliverables.
• Protocol Implementation: Implement workflows utilizing Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) patterns to standardize connections.
• RAG & Prompting: Engineer RAG pipelines and prompts for information retrieval, classification, and context-aware interactions.
• Business Analysis: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Fast Prototyping: Rapidly build Proofs of Concept (POCs) to validate hypotheses before engineering final solutions.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and emerging protocols to continuously update the technology stack.

Mandatory

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics.
• Frameworks: Proven hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph , or similar.
• Agentic Prototyping: Track record of developing Agentic POCs capable of reasoning and tool usage. You are comfortable moving fast from idea to working demo.
• Vector & RAG: Experience with embeddings, Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus), and designing effective RAG architectures.
• Analysis & ML: Strong ability to analyze business requirements and data structures, backed by a solid grasp of core Machine Learning concepts.
• Protocols: Theoretical knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) concepts.
• Python & API: Proficiency in Python with experience in building APIs (FastAPI or Flask ) for integration.
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP , AWS, Azure), containerization, Git, and testing practices.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Nice to Have

• 2-3 years of working experience in a similar position
• Experience in the Retail Industry
• Proven capabilities of adoption of genAI tools for coding
• Spec driven development through AI tools and prompting
