Asset Management Associate (m/f)

Role Overview

We are seeking an Asset Management Associate to support the management and optimization of a utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Italy. The role will support the Asset Manager in monitoring technical and financial performance, coordinating O&M activities, managing reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. This position is ideal for a candidate with experience in renewable energy operations, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Performance Monitoring

• Monitor the operational performance of PV assets through SCADA and monitoring platforms
• Analyse KPIs including availability, PR, yield, downtime, and losses
• Identify underperformance issues and coordinate corrective actions with O&M providers
• Support performance optimization initiatives

O&M Coordination

• Coordinate with Project managers of the areas and technical advisors
• Track O&M performance
• Monitor compliance with SLAs, availability guarantees, and response times
• Review maintenance reports and incident analysis

Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Prepare monthly and quarterly asset management reports
• Support budget preparation, variance analysis, and operational cost tracking
• Monitor revenue performance against forecast
• Assist in invoice validation and operational expenditure control

Regulatory & Contractual Compliance

• Support management of grid operator interactions and regulatory obligations
• Monitor compliance with PPA, O&M, EPC, and financing agreements
• Maintain project documentation and reporting records

Portfolio Optimization

• Support initiatives to improve energy production and reduce operational losses
• Assist with repowering studies, technical assessments, and operational benchmarking
• Contribute to standardization and digitalization of asset management processes

Required

• Degree in Engineering, Energy, Economics, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in renewable energy, preferably PV asset management or O&M
• Knowledge of utility-scale PV systems and operational KPIs
• Practical, independent experience dealing with GSE portals, Terna (Gaudì), ARERA compliance, and Agenzia delle Dogane practices.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills (complex formulas, data cleaning, modelling and dashboard building)
• Fluent Italian and professional working proficiency in English.
• Plan and execute regular site visits (approximately once every 2–3 months) to the portfolio's PV plants.

Preferred

• Experience with Italian renewable energy regulations and grid operators
• Exposure to financial analysis and budgeting
• Knowledge of BESS or hybrid projects is a plus
• Experience working with O&M contractors

Compensation : RAL 38-45k EUR gross + 10% bonus + meal vouchers + company welfare + private health insurance
