Our client is a prestigious international organisation in the education sector and they are seeking a sharp, driven, and experienced Assistant Manager, Finance to support its continued growth and financial excellence in Italy. Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior finance leadership
• Lead day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, GL, and treasury
• Oversee financial closings and reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audits, tax filings, and statutory requirements
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Deliver management reports and support executive decision-making
• Drive improvements in processes, systems, and internal controls
• Lead and manage the finance team
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and banks
• Contribute to business strategy through financial analysis

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MIA or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant finance role, preferably in an international setting
• Proficient in MS Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems
• Knowledge of European or Italian accounting frameworks
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Analytical, organised, and comfortable working under pressure
• Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• Adaptable and collaborative in a cross-cultural environment
• Native-level Italian (spoken and written) is required; English fluency also essential
