General Description :

Under the direction of the Director of Commercial Operations Italy, this individual is responsible for maximizing the performance of BeOne Medicines' oncology products in Italy, managing a team of Key Account Managers.

The Associate Director Regional Field Manager (RFM) implements the marketing and sales strategy and is responsible for achieving defined sales targets supported by allocated resources and budgets. The RFM also coaches and develops her/his commercial team.

Essential Functions of the job :

  • Building an image/brand and awareness for BeOne Medicines and its products in the oncology market.
  • Establishing strong relationships and collaborations with key opinion leaders (KOLs), study groups, and key accounts.
  • Preparing the commercial market (customers, study groups, etc.) for the approval of BeOne Medicines' products.
  • Implementing marketing strategies for upcoming launches in the oncology market.
  • Building BeOne Medicines' sales function within her/his geographic area in Italy, including preparing, structuring, and developing a competent commercial field team.
  • Achieving regional sales goals and performance targets.
  • Planning and monitoring regional and cluster team budgets.
  • Setting basic sales goals and conducting regular market analysis.
  • Identifying developmental needs and strengths of team members, and executing individualized development programs, training, and coaching.
  • Providing scientific advice and support to KOLs in hospitals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading the field cross-functional cluster team.
  • Keeping management informed of market changes and competitor activities.
  • Supervising the development and implementation of key account plans.
  • Collaborating with Market Access to facilitate account access.
  • Working with Marketing to establish and improve field force effectiveness.
  • Aligning with Medical, Marketing, and Market Access to ensure strategy coherence.
  • Participating in scientific meetings, symposia, and workshops.
  • Providing leadership that fosters high performance, engagement, and accountability.
  • Attracting, developing, and retaining talent, and fostering effective communication and teamwork.
  • Acting as BeOne Medicines’ representative with customers and stakeholders in oncology.
  • Driving business decisions with a focus on patient care.
  • Ensuring team compliance with ethical standards, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Scientific education with experience in similar roles; life science degree preferred.
  • Over 5 years of qualified experience as a commercial team leader, with leadership in oncology.
  • Proven success in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Specific oncology market knowledge, especially in lung and gastric cancers preferred.
  • Proven supervision of commercial teams.
  • Strong social skills, teamwork, motivation, and positive attitude.
  • Results-driven, service-oriented, with excellent communication and thought leadership.
  • Reliable contacts with oncologists and opinion leaders.
  • Confident with scientific expertise, effective in customer acceptance.
  • Enjoys teamwork, project work, and networking.
  • Strong implementation skills.
  • Good English and computer skills; valid driver’s license.

Education Required : University degree in science or business; at least 10 years of industry experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities : Managing local/regional sales team, including hiring, supervising, and developing team members.

Computer Skills : Proficient in MS Office.

Other Qualifications : Fluent in verbal and written English.

Travel : Approximately 60% of the time.
