HR Generalist
Philogen S.p.A. is a Swiss-Italian integrated biotechnology company, founded in 1996, focused on the development of innovative biopharmaceutical products for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases.
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Department at our headquarters in Siena .
This role is an opportunity for a motivated and proactive person who wants to develop broad, hands-on experience across the main areas of Human Resources, including personnel administration, recruitment, attendance management, HR reporting, internal coordination and employee support.
The position is suitable both for candidates who have already gained initial experience in HR and for bright junior profiles with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, curiosity and a genuine interest in developing within Human Resources. We are looking for someone reliable, smart and eager to learn, who is willing to grow in a structured, international and scientifically driven corporate environment.
Main responsibilities
The selected candidate will work closely with the HR team and will be involved in a wide range of HR activities, including:
- supporting personnel administration processes and ensuring accurate management of employee records and HR documentation;
- contributing to recruitment and selection activities, including job posting, CV screening, interview scheduling and candidate communication;
- supporting the onboarding process for new employees;
- assisting in the monthly attendance management process and related checks;
- contributing to HR reporting activities, including workforce data analysis and personnel cost monitoring;
- supporting employees and internal stakeholders on HR-related operational matters;
- assisting in the preparation and maintenance of HR procedures, templates and internal documentation;
- contributing to the continuous improvement of HR tools, processes and workflows;
- supporting, when required, the organization of corporate events, internal initiatives and HR-related activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
- a degree in Law, Economics, Human Resources, Business Administration or related fields;
- strong interest in Human Resources, labour law, personnel administration and people management processes;
- previous experience in HR administration, HR operations, recruitment or similar roles will be considered a plus, but we are also open to evaluating bright junior candidates with strong potential, motivation and willingness to learn;
- good command of English, both written and spoken;
- good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;
- accuracy, reliability, discretion and confidentiality;
- proactive attitude, flexibility and willingness to learn across different areas of Human Resources.
Preferred qualifications
The following will be considered a plus:
- previous experience in structured companies, consultancy firms or international environments;
- further studies or specialization in Human Resources Management, Labour Law or Personnel Administration;
- familiarity with attendance management, HR reporting or personnel cost analysis;
- experience with HR software, digital HR tools or internal reporting systems.
