Position Overview
Guy Carpenter is looking for a brilliant and talented candidate to join our Client Service team as Associate I – Transactional Services, based in Milan. The team is responsible for preparation and management of all monthly and annual financial reporting and controllership operations for Italy.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Process technical accounts for assigned clients.
Direct individuals to assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications to resolve difficult questions and secure reinsurer agreements and payments of claims and account balances.
Manage transactional processes ensuring assigned tasks are completed effectively and in a timely manner, meeting Client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Participate in department meetings and activities, sharing opinions, ideas, and solutions; provide input for the evolution of the operational model to promote new process improvement ideas leveraging technology solutions.
Develop complex information on accounting/claims process for Request for Proposal (RFP) and sales opportunities to drive business growth.
Manage settlement of funds to and from Client ensuring all applicable contractual payment terms, warranties and/or conditions are met.
Implement processes to carry out reinsurance audits/reviews with clients and reinsurers; review open claims and/or premium activity, reconcile records to facilitate the review/audit process and ensure process quality.
Collaborate with peers on difficult or contentious reinsurance developments; provide training, mentoring and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to troubleshoot and develop team resources.
Establish and drive relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets to understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in international environments.
Experience in a reinsurance broker is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in both English and Italian.
