Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s leading cloud computing platform. This 6‑month internship starts in September 2026 and is designed to prepare students for the 2027 Solutions Architect Graduate Program. Throughout the program you will receive structured training, learn cloud architecture fundamentals, understand customer requirements, and develop technical recommendation and communication skills while working on a real AWS project. Experienced Solutions Architects will mentor you and you will participate in solution‑design discussions. This internship is ideal for students passionate about cloud technology, consulting, and solutions‑design skills in an education‑first environment. To be successful you must be able to sign an internship agreement with your university.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a structured training curriculum to build cloud architecture foundations and AWS services knowledge
• Learn to analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical solution recommendations
• Participate in solution design sessions and shadow customer engagements with experienced Solutions Architects
• Work on a real AWS project, applying architecture principles and building with AWS services
• Develop presentation skills by learning to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Study the AWS Well‑Architected Framework and learn to apply it to solution designs

Basic Qualifications

Must be a current student who can sign an internship agreement with their university.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including security, storage or databases (relational and/or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
• Experience with one or more of the following domains: systems administration (Linux/Windows), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, load balancing), or programming (Node.js, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP)
