For our site in Collecchio (PR) we're searching for a qualified and resourceful Automation Engineer.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in TIA Portal and robotic system programming. The ideal candidate will design, develop and optimize automation solutions, focusing on PLC programming, robot integration, and smart manufacturing strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability. In particular:

  • Develop and program PLCs using TIA Portal (Siemens)
  • Design and optimize robotic automation systems, including integration with PLCs and other control interfaces
  • Configure and maintain SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement advanced automation solutions
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve automation-related issues
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in automation and robotics
  • Provide technical support and ensure compliance with industry standards

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fields
  • Proven experience with TIA Portal and robotic system programming
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, SCADA, and communication protocols
  • Familiarity with robotic arms, their programming languages, and integration techniques
  • Experience in IoT-driven automation and Industry 4.0 applications (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and smart production methodologies (preferred)
  • Familiarity with AI-driven automation (preferred)


SKILLS

  • Good English proficiency (both written and spoken)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday with flexible hours between 8am to 5:30pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.


TRAVEL

Available for business travels, start up support and trouble shooting at customers.
