AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician for Cognita, our technical division for automation and AI, to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems and equipment. The ideal candidate has a background in industrial automation, control systems, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
Location: Asti - Località Quarto Inferiore 280
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain automated machinery and control systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and robotics
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related faults
- Assist in system upgrades, modifications, and commissioning of new equipment
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Collaborate with engineering to optimize system performance
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Required Qualifications
- Laurea in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field or Diploma
- Proven experience in industrial automation or similar role
- Good knowledge of PLC programming
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Fluent in English
