Responsibilities
- Support the design team in defining and developing hydraulic systems, landing‑gear and braking plant.
- Model and simulate system‑based designs using Matlab/Simulink.
- Interface with the air‑worthiness office to follow the certification and approval process.
- Collaborate with Service Engineers on system‑level problem analysis and requirement definition.
- Contribute to the functional‑requirements definition of flight‑control commands.
- Participate in fault‑tolerance and redundancy analysis for control systems.
- Support verification and validation of models and system requirements.
- Work closely with technical stakeholders throughout the system life‑cycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a System Engineer on cold‑mechanical systems (landing‑gear, plant, actuators, movable surfaces, etc.).
- Mandatory experience in fly‑by‑wire flight‑control systems.
- Strong knowledge of Matlab and Simulink for model‑based modeling and simulation.
- Basic understanding of redundancy management and fault‑tolerance applied to control systems.
- Fluency in Italian; good oral and written English skills.
