Avionic System Test and Integration Engineer

TXT e-tech , a company within the TXT Group, is seeking a new candidate to fill the role of System Engineer within the Embedded Systems Business Unit. The successful candidate, as an avionics systems engineer, will be responsible for managing advanced avionics hardware and software systems, overseeing a project from conception through to implementation, and will contribute to the proper functioning of systems and subsystems to ensure correct communication between all devices.

The successful candidate will be supported by industry professionals and will undertake on-the-job training at dedicated laboratories (full-scale integration rigs), as well as study and analysis sessions to gain familiarity with system and subsystem architectures.

Main responsibilities

• Interpretation of system requirements for the definition of test procedures;
• Customisation of the integrated system database to ensure requirements are properly verified;
• Conducting tests, both independently and in dedicated sessions with the system/software supplier, in the company’s laboratories;
• Collection of data from the tests carried out and subsequent formal reporting;
• Reporting of malfunctions/errors using specific problem-tracing software;
• Supporting system/software development teams in resolving issues.

Technical skills required

• Good/Excellent command of English;
• Basic knowledge of system engineering;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, an ability to work as part of a team, and a strong focus on achieving objectives within set deadlines.

A keen interest in the world of aeronautics and avionics will be considered an advantage.

Education

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
