Avionics & Systems Integration Engineer
Descrizione dell'offerta
Are you ready to join a team shaping the future of space and aerospace systems? We are looking for an Avionics & Systems Integration Engineer to support the design, integration, and testing of cutting-edge onboard avionics and satellite subsystems.
In this hybrid role, you will bridge engineering design with real-world application, contributing to both lab-based testing and technical coordination across avionics, electronics, and systems architecture. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to join us (but it helps)!
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement test procedures for satellite avionics systems (Data Handling - DHC, Attitude and Orbit Control - AOC, and Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery - FDIR), both in simulation and on real hardware.
- Support the integration and validation of electrical and electronic subsystems, including test execution at subsystem and system levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure component compliance and mission readiness (including PCBs, connectors, and sensors).
- Work on simulation environments using MATLAB/Simulink and contribute to the development of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing platforms.
- Coordinate with quality assurance and procurement teams to ensure testing, documentation, and delivery meet aerospace-grade standards.
- Investigate anomalies, propose design feedback, and help streamline AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing) processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Avionics, Electronics, or Systems Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
- 2–5 years of experience in avionics systems, embedded electronics, Assembly-Integration-Testing (AIT), or satellite subsystems is preferred, but motivated graduates will also be considered.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards such as ECSS Standards, CAN bus, or SpaceWire is an advantage.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink), or C/C++ embedded development environments.
- Italian language is strongly required
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in English (C1 level or higher); French is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, etc.) is a plus.
- A flexible mindset—able to juggle multiple tasks, and possibly travel or work in multi-site teams occasionally.
Why You’ll Love It Here:
- Join an international team that’s passionate about innovation in space systems.
- Work from our Turin hub in the heart of Italy’s aerospace district.
- Flexible working hours and real ownership over your projects.
- Opportunity to shape the future of space missions—from concept to launch.
- Training and growth opportunities in systems engineering, procurement, and technical leadership.
