Baker Hughes, a leading global energy technology company, is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer to join their CTO team. This role focuses on building Enterprise Cloud infrastructure automation solutions supporting Baker Hughes' Cloud strategy. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies across AWS and Azure platforms, developing and implementing automated solutions for Cloud and Application team requirements.

The ideal candidate will join a team operating at the forefront of technology, building scalable Enterprise-level infrastructure in the cloud. Responsibilities include developing cloud services, implementing infrastructure automation, and ensuring secure and compliant solutions. A strong technical background with expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and programming languages like Python is required.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Build Enterprise Cloud infrastructure automation solutions to support Cloud strategy
  2. Develop, improve, deploy, and support Cloud services focusing on service catalog and reusable components
  3. Work in an Agile / DevOps environment
  4. Collaborate with Risk and Security teams to develop secure and compliant Cloud services

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong AWS & Azure knowledge with hands-on experience
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Bicep/Arm
  • Experience with Lambda, Service Catalog, Step Function, CloudFormation, CodeBuild
  • Experience working with GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Python programming experience required; Powershell or other scripting preferred
  • Knowledge of IP networking including VPCs/VNets, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls
