Role: BIM Engineer
Location: Rome, Italy (on-site with some flexibility)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Freelance BIM Engineer to support civil and infrastructure projects on a 12-month contract based in Rome. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Building Information Models, ensuring smooth collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and update BIM models according to project requirements and Italian BIM standards (UNI 11337).
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM workflows, integrating architectural, structural, and MEP models.
- Perform clash detection, model checks, and support quantity take-offs and 4D scheduling.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings with project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of BIM workflows and standards.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on BIM best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a BIM Engineer on civil or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in BIM tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of Italian BIM standards (UNI 11337) and international BIM methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills in Italian; English is a plus.
- Availability to work on-site in Rome with some flexibility as required.
- Valid Italian VAT registration (Partita IVA ) for freelance contracts.
