BRANCH MANAGER
Prime responsibility of the role is to recruit, train, develop and retain a team of sales people and sales managers who are able to attain the sales budgets for the office / branch. The role requires acting as a sales manager, creating business opportunities, demonstrating active leadership and motivation skills while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead & manage a team of sales personnel to achieve monthly and annual sales budgets.
- Manage branch metrics and activity to achieve annual corporate objectives.
- Monitor and measure sales activities within the group and take action to implement change if sales activities are not succeeding.
- Work with the Country Manager / Regional Sales Director on the setting of annual sales budgets.
- Actively participate in the recruitment of new hires, undertaking the key / final stage of the interview process to verify candidate competencies and cultural fit.
- Undertake annual and bi‑annual appraisals for all direct reports in line with corporate procedure.
- Conduct regular branch communication meetings with all staff, reviewing corporate and local objectives and sharing branch performance against metrics.
- Support training of Future Sales Executives, Key Account Managers, and Area Sales Managers through external franchised supplier lines and internal bespoke courses.
- Ensure links with Technical Sales and Supplier Development personnel are maintained at the highest interface; hold reviews and manage demand creation leading metrics.
- Undertake account reviews with all personnel to ensure sufficient time is devoted to penetrating high-growth accounts and manage them for continual growth, retention and budget achievement.
- Develop effective working relationships with all internal customers, emphasizing technical, marketing, and credit departments.
- Ensure high level of service by being responsive to end customers’ needs and maintaining strategic business relationships with focus suppliers.
- Perform additional projects or duties as management may require.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the electronics distribution industry/current market.
- IT literate and open to learning new software/systems.
