Building & HVAC Design Specialist

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and verify the design of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and Plumbing (potable water, condensate water, sewage and drainage) serving buildings. Lead the specialists of the other building design disciplines (civil, electrical, automation/instrumentation).
• Guarantee the Building Mechanical Systems design compliance to legislations, main international standards (EN, NFPA, etc.) and contractual requirements, time and budget.
• Ensure coordination between the building design disciplines using integrated building 3D BIM model.
• Prepare Material Requisition (M.R.) for purchase of items and Work Requisition (W.R.) to identify Subcontractors.
• Carry out the technical tabulations of Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Verify Vendors and Subcontractors design documents and data sheets.
• Ensure support during construction, commissioning and testing activities.
• Participate, for the specific area of competence, to the preparation/update of KT Standards/Procedures/Work Instructions.
• Keep himself/herself up to date with developments of technology, standards and legislations.

Personal Attributes

• Building\Mechanical Engineering degree, or equivalent.
• Work experience in HVAC, Plumbing and Building Design.
• Similar role covered for at least five years.
• Fluent English speaker and writer.
• Experience of working with Building and MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) Subcontractors.
• Knowledge of drafting tools (AutoCAD) and BIM Tools (REVIT, Navisworks) as well as of HVAC and Plumbing main design software (CARRIER HAP, REVIT integrated software’s as MAGICAD).
• Experience in HVAC & Plumbing for building in petrochemical and oil & gas plants will be a plus. For example: control rooms, electrical substations, laboratories, administration buildings, process buildings/shelters (like pump house, compressor house).
• Team-oriented, self-motivated with problem resolution, good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability to travel for short and long period in Italy and abroad.
