We at Baker McKenzie Italia are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development, Marketing & Communications Executive to join our Milan office , becoming an integral part of the broader South Europe Business Development, Marketing & Communications (BDMC) team , covering Italy and Spain , with special focus on the advisory practices within the cluster.
Main Activities:
- Assist with the preparation of responses to client's request for proposals or information on the practice group's capabilities and in preparing lawyers for business development meetings with clients and prospects.
- Support Practice Group's client development activities through coordination of client planning, monitoring of activity, and reporting, including metrics based on financials and outcome of activities.
- Support fee-earners in cross-practice collaboration through the marketing of services, including the development of go-to-market materials in cooperation with multiple practice groups and offices.
- Support in the management of the Firm's local LinkedIn channel and the creation of content to maximize business development opportunities.
- Drafting and submitting directory submissions.
- Strategic event management including client targeting and research, content development and measurement of statistics and ROI.
- Identification of trends and opportunities that could be exploited through media and communications and support in the preparation.
- Support in the development of local business development initiatives in line with the PG's regional and global strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 3-4 years' of experience in BD, Marketing & Communications (preferably in the legal industry)
- Full proficiency in English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Proactive, able to work with tight deadlines
- Excellent use of Office suite (Word, Power Point)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to write in a compelling way
- Prior knowledge and experience of working in a law firm would be advantageous.
Full time position Monday to Friday with an hybrid formula.
