About the Role
As a Project Manager for Sales & Business Development, you play a central role in driving cross‑functional initiatives with a strong focus on Sales , particularly within Modern Trade . You coordinate and monitor projects end‑to‑end, ensuring that timelines, resources, and budgets are respected while enabling continuous improvement and business transformation. You act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and beyond, working closely with both local teams and global counterparts. In a highly visible role, you contribute to strategic initiatives and act as a focal point for the evolution and enhancement of key sales capabilities, including tools used by the sales force after their go‑live phase.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Sales and Trade Marketing projects, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders including senior leaders in Modern Trade, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain.
- Manage project plans by defining scope, objectives, timelines, and responsibilities, while ensuring smooth execution across different workstreams, sometimes in collaboration with co‑project managers from Sales or Trade.
- Facilitate collaboration between local and global teams, including IT and group functions, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and proactively identify risks or deviations, recommending corrective actions when needed.
- Provide regular updates and clear visibility to stakeholders and steering committees, supporting informed and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of KPIs and performance metrics, leveraging data and reporting tools to support sales performance and business insights.
- Support the adoption and continuous improvement of new capabilities, acting as a focal point for specific tools or processes introduced to the sales organization.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and drive ongoing enhancements, ensuring that solutions are effectively embedded post go‑live.
- Collaborate on initiatives involving supply chain processes and contribute to broader transformation projects impacting Sales and Business Development.
About You
- Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field, along with experience in Project Management roles, preferably within Sales or commercial environments.
- Deep understanding of sales processes—especially in Modern Trade—along with exposure to Trade Marketing and Supply Chain dynamics.
- Structured and analytical mindset, enabling you to interpret data, define meaningful KPIs, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and influence at different levels of the organization, both locally and globally.
- Collaborative approach and comfort in high‑visibility contexts where coordination across multiple teams and functions is essential.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office, with familiarity with data warehouse and reporting tools.
- Fluency in Italian and excellent command of English, enabling effective operation in an international environment.
- Proactive mindset and drive for continuous improvement, helping the organization evolve its Sales capabilities and achieve strategic goals.
