Job description

As a Business Development Representative at Otoqi, you will play a key role in the acceleration of our growth and the expansion of our presence in the Italian market.

The primary objective of this position is to identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities while contributing to the expansion of our customer portfolio in the automotive, logistics and mobility sectors in Italy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Business development : Identify, target and engage high-potential accounts in the automotive, logistics and mobility sectors across Italy.
  • Outbound prospecting : Execute multi-channel acquisition strategies (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking) to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Lead qualification : Understand prospects’ operational challenges, qualify needs and identify decision-makers to ensure high-quality meetings for the Sales team.
  • Appointment setting : Secure strategic meetings with key stakeholders (Fleet Managers, Operations Directors, Mobility Managers, etc.).
  • Strategic Account Development : Create account-based strategies for high-potential mid-market accounts, map key stakeholders, design tailored outreach plans and nurture opportunities for long-term growth.
  • Pipeline management : Maintain accurate CRM data, track lead progression and ensure smooth handover to Business Developers.
  • Performance tracking : Monitor KPIs (calls, meetings, conversion rates), analyze results and continuously optimize outreach strategies.
  • Cross-Functional collaboration : Work closely with Sales and Growth teams to refine targeting, messaging and go-to-market strategy.

Expected Results

  • Pipeline growth : Increase the number of qualified leads entering the sales pipeline on a monthly basis.
  • Meeting generation : Deliver a consistent and growing number of qualified meetings for the sales team.
  • Conversion optimization : Improve lead-to-meeting and meeting-to-opportunity conversion rates.
  • Data Accuracy & Process Discipline : Ensure CRM reliability and structured follow-up to maximize sales efficiency.

Desired profile

  • Experience : 1 year in a similar role (SDR, BDR, Inside Sales) or a strong motivation to break into tech sales.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to engage prospects and build relationships.
  • Resilience & Adaptability : Comfortable handling objections, learning from feedback and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-Savvy : Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and outreach platforms is a plus.
  • Results-Oriented : Goal-driven with a strong desire to exceed targets and contribute to business growth.
  • Team Player : Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with sales and marketing teams.
  • Languages : Fluency in Italian and English is required, French or German are a plus.
