We are looking for a business-oriented candidate (f/m/n) with a strong commercial mindset and a strategic approach to market development to cover the position of Business Development Specialist , based in Merone (CO) and reporting to the Business Development Manager.
THE MISSION
In this role you will provide support to the BD Manager to find and evaluate new business opportunities for Holcim Italy, working closely together with the management of the organization.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Tasks
- Support the management of Italy project portfolio in close cooperation with Country Business Heads, the Legal & Compliance Function and the BD Function CEW
- Contribute to developing business cases of potential targets , assisting the BD Manager in defining pricing and deal structures
- Support the BD Manager in the business negotiation with potential targets
- Contribute to the assessment of new business opportunities for the development projects in the Markets in close collaboration with Business Leaders and the Finance Function
- Provide strategic and analytical support and contribute to the yearly strategy process (MTP) and Enterprise Risk Management assessment for CEW
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with mobility across Italy
Project Management
- Be accountable for major development projects with complex stakeholder landscape while keeping a diverse team on “track” to achieve timely implementation of project milestones
Strategic Planning
- Work closely with the country leadership and finance team and set the quarterly priorities, including which markets and streams (circular economy, sustainable products, etc.) to dedicate more resources to achieve growth targets.
Market Analysis
- Support the Markets to develop in-depth analysis of the markets, customer portfolio, product streams, etc. as support for the decision-making by the countries leadership team.
PROFILE
- Education: Graduate in Business Administration, Economics or Finance, Management Engineering or other related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in business development and/or project management
Technical and Functional skills
- Financial acumen is strongly required
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues.
- A track record of successfully driving business growth year on year and hitting targets
- Content management system and computer skills
- Project management skills
- Tools: proficient with advanced IT tools and maintenance management systems (SAP)
- Languages: good knowledge of spoken/written English is required; German and/or French knowledge is considered a plus

Mobility required within the Central Europe West cluster (Switzerland, Southern Germany and Haut-Rhin) based on specific requests / team meetings and related activities (max 15%-20%).
