Overview

Business Innovation Consultant, VA , Rome, Italy. 6 months contract with WFP (World Food Programme). The BIU (Business Innovation Unit) acts as the management consulting arm of WFP, focusing on end-to-end solutions including problem assessment, data analysis, operational model design, change plan and implementation monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Execution of Business Innovation projects
• Overall Innovation and Change Management priorities
• Other activities supporting the Business Innovation agenda
• Deliverables may include project work streams and support for initiative owners
• Support UN Reform-related activities inside WFP and in inter-agency contexts
• Explore opportunities for global/local collaboration with sister agencies
• Identify best practices for cross-CO knowledge transfer and service delivery optimization
• Support communication efforts and knowledge management within the division
• Additional support to divisional needs as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Preference for a degree in business, economics or engineering
• Experience: About 2 years of progressively responsible national and/or international experience in a business or international relations-related position; 2 years in change management, management consulting or finance; additional work experience desirable
• Knowledge & Skills: Ability to contribute to new strategies and innovative projects; strong quantitative and qualitative analysis; proficiency in Excel and ability to produce high-quality materials; experience with optimization processes; collaborative and diplomatic communication; time management and ability to work under tight deadlines; self-motivated and able to work autonomously or in a team
• Languages: Proficiency in English; knowledge of a second UN language is a plus
• Visa: WFP supports visa applications; position based in Rome
