Open Position: Business Owner / Director – Licensing Unit (Travel Content)

Location: Rome (hybrid) or remote | Willingness to travel internationally



Who We Are


Loquis is the world’s first global platform for geolocated travel podcasts. With over 1.5 million active audio contents available worldwide, we are transforming the way people explore destinations through a unique combination of storytelling, geolocation, and voice intelligence.


We are now launching a new business unit dedicated to licensing our audio content to third-party partners, including infotainment systems, OTAs, hotel chains, connected car platforms, and more. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic leader to drive the development of this new business line.



The Role


This is not just an operational role—it is a concrete opportunity to build and lead a business unit from scratch, with broad decision-making autonomy, direct access to the founder, and high-level company visibility.


You will not be joining an already established team: you will be the one to create, define, and lead it.



Your Responsibilities


  • Define and refine the licensing model for Loquis content.
  • Identify and prioritize strategic verticals (Onboard entertainment systems; OTAs and digital travel platforms; Hotel chains, resorts, and hospitality brands)
  • Initiate and finalize international negotiations with strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with the product and tech teams to build scalable offerings that integrate via APIs.
  • Develop commercial materials, go-to-market strategies, and tailored offers for each vertical.
  • Monitor KPIs, margins, and ROI, optimizing activities based on data-driven insights.
  • Build and lead a commercial and operational team.
  • Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with advisors and investors.

Who We Are Looking For


  • Proven experience (8–10 years) in business ownership, business development, or leadership roles within startups, scale-ups, or international digital companies.
  • Background in the travel tech sector, digital media, SaaS, or content licensing.
  • Demonstrated experience in international negotiations and partnerships.
  • Familiarity with B2B/B2B2C models and digital products that integrate via APIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset, with a results-driven focus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Italian and English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Experience in managing small, high-responsibility teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, rapid execution capability, and a proactive spirit.
  • Ability to work in agile, dynamic, and continuously evolving environments.
