Mission description

Job Description Summary: The position will report hierarchically to the Procurement Manager, within his/her role, the candidate will be in charge of managing the procurement activities, interacting directly with Suppliers and internal Customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • RFQ/Negotiation with Suppliers in liaison with Commodities LTA coverage: supporting negotiation MTA/LTA renewal or new contracts.
  • Place and manage PO (RC, NRC).
  • Monitor and act for improvement of Supplier Performances (OTD, Overdue).
  • Monitor Suppliers Quality performance.
  • Negotiate best pricing condition with Suppliers according to Saving/PPV target (Purchase Price Variance).
  • Establish and manage supplier relationships to provide the best competitive advantage.
  • Identify/support initiatives to reduce and/or contain cost.
  • Monitor Supplier health (financial, capacity) and support material obsolescence analysis.
  • Ensure supplier compliance to Configuration Spec and DWGs and align POs.
  • Support costing activity at the bid process, define with NPI team and Commodities the Sourcing Strategy, ensure NDA coverage.
  • Manage End Users to Suppliers in order to ensure Supplier export license application.
  • Ensure supplier commitments and acknowledgement of the orderbook for a specific supplier's panel.
  • Act as a first level escalation point for Planning (OE & MRO).
  • Highlight all the possible criticalities coming from the Supplier commitments not in line with the MRP demand.
  • Ensure no line stop due to missing parts and therefore escalations when the suppliers answer is not appropriate.
  • Maintain the compliance of the purchasing data into the ERP.

  • KPIs (OTD, Overdue, PPV, LTAs coverage, POs Management)
  • Customer satisfaction (Internal customer as Operations/Material Management)

Skills Required

Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement roles.

  • Engineering master degree or Economic master degree.
  • Fluent English.
  • Negotiation and communication skills.
  • Able to act on own initiative.
  • Excellent team working skills.
  • Develop good working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to produce high quality written reports and documents.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Flexibility to travel (Italy and abroad).
  • SAP and Excel knowledge.
