The Silicon Photonics Business Line focuses on silicon photonics for cloud optical interconnects, driving innovation and commercial success in data communication and telecommunication markets.
YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a Customer Technology Manager (CTM) to support key customers of our Silicon Photonics Business Line. As the key technical point of contact for one or more dedicated customers, you will coordinate end‑to‑end technology programs from early engagement through industrialization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead technical interactions with customers in silicon photonics programs.
- Coordinate prototyping, R&D/product development, and early industrialization activities.
- Ensure alignment across internal teams so that solutions meet customer requirements and business objectives.
- Contribute to technical decisions and trade‑offs in line with technology roadmaps and product strategy.
- Act as the primary technical interface for assigned customers, understanding and consolidating their requirements and specifications and ensuring they are properly addressed internally.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities involving R&D, design, process, test, packaging, industrialization, and quality to support customer milestones.
- Monitor program progress, anticipate risks, and contribute to mitigation plans to ensure on‑time delivery with the expected performance and quality.
- Facilitate technical reviews and workshops with customers and internal experts, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Support transition from development to production, contributing to manufacturability, reliability, and yield objectives.
- Provide feedback to technology and product roadmaps based on customer interactions and emerging market needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager, Project Manager, Product Development Leader, or similar role in the semiconductor or high‑tech industry.
- Solid technical understanding of silicon photonics and optical communications (e.g., transceivers, modulators, detectors, PICs).
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams across R&D, design, process, test, packaging, industrialization, and quality.
- Strong technical communication skills, able to interact with both customer technical teams and internal experts.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical trade‑offs, synthesize stakeholders’ inputs, and support data‑driven decisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple programs or workstreams in parallel, prioritizing effectively and delivering under tight schedules in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- University degree (MSc or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics/Photonics, Microelectronics, or a related field.
DESIRED (Nice‑to‑Have)
- Familiarity with wafer foundry business models, custom technology engagements, and product lifecycle from concept to ramp.
- Experience in early industrialization / NPI (New Product Introduction): from engineering samples to volume ramp, including yield and reliability aspects.
