We are looking for an experienced and innovation-driven Chassis Components Project Engineering & R&D Manager to join our international automotive team and help shape the future of chassis technologies.
In this role, you will combine:
✔️ Project Engineering Leadership
✔️ Customer Technical Interface
✔️ R&D and Innovation Management
✔️ Cross-functional Coordination with Global Teams and OEMs
You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Purchasing, and Quality teams while acting as a key technical partner for leading OEM automotive customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from RFQ to SOP and serial production
- Coordinate cross-functional project activities and timelines
- Support technical feasibility studies and cost optimization initiatives
- Drive R&D activities focused on lightweight solutions, performance optimization, and manufacturing improvements
- Interface directly with OEM engineering and purchasing teams
- Support prototype validation, testing activities, and engineering changes
- Contribute to future platform discussions and strategic customer projects
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent technical background
- Several years of automotive engineering experience, ideally in chassis or suspension systems
- Good knowledge of automotive product development and OEM processes
- Experience managing technical projects in international environments
- Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills
- Customer oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Professional working proficency in English
- Knowledge of German is a plus but not required
- Availability for business travel
