Chief Civil Engineer (Civil PSL) | EPC Oil&Gas Plants | Milano

Are you a Senior Civil & Structural Engineering leader with a proven track record in large-scale energy projects? At Arkad , we are expanding our Head Office / Engineering Hub in Milan due to the acquisition of major multi-year international contracts. We are looking for a Chief Civil Engineer for a long-term, full-time position. This role reports into the Civil Engineering Discipline Leader.

In this role, you will be the technical and organizational authority for the civil discipline, managing deliverables, budget hours, and leading a dedicated engineering team from our Milan offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical & Quality Assurance: Ensure all civil and structural engineering activities are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in strict accordance with contract specifications and quality/safety standards.
• Project & Resource Control: Prepare deliverable planning, monitor schedule deviations, and manage discipline man-hours against the project budget.
• Deliverables Approval: Review and approve all engineering outputs issued by the civil discipline.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Lead the assigned civil engineering team, perform squad checks, and ensure seamless coordination with other engineering disciplines and the estimating team.
• Construction Support: Support the Construction Department and Estimating Team during bid phases and occasionally clarify field issues for the Site Technical Office.

Your Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with a strong focus on leading roles within large EPC, Energy, or Oil & Gas projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering .
• Technical Toolkit: Deep knowledge of major international Civil and Structural Codes and structural calculation methodologies.
• Location: Currently based in Italy (mandatory).
• Languages: Fluent written and spoken English . Occasional availability for short international business trips if required.
