On behalf of an international consumer goods group with a well-established presence in Italy, backed by a private equity fund, we are looking for the Chief Executive Officer for the Italian subsidiary.
The company operates within the consumer goods sector and holds a strong market position supported by recognized brands and a solid industrial base. The incoming CEO will be responsible for driving strategic growth, ensuring operational excellence, and managing organizational transformation in close alignment with the Group’s global strategy.

Reports to the Group CEO.
Key Responsibilities
In partnership with the HQ Management Team, develop and execute the overall strategy for Italy aimed at maximizing business performance, strengthening market share for key brands and expanding into new profitable segments.
Oversee the implementation of strategic plans through a to-be-established management committee, ensuring optimal allocation of approved financial, material, and human resources.
Define and enforce corrective actions when required to achieve financial and operational targets.
Design and implement an organizational structure that promotes efficiency and supports sustainable business growth.
Lead and develop the management team, fostering a performance-driven culture and talent development across all functions.
Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial and operational reporting to the Group and shareholders.
Oversee all business activities in Italy, ensuring sound governance, effective KPIs, and robust decision-making processes.
Guarantee cash flow optimization and efficient use of business systems and tools.
Monitor product and market trends to sustain competitiveness and integrate such insights into strategic planning.
Define, together with the Sales Department, client development and product/pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
Represent the company in industrial, professional, administrative, and legal bodies.
Actively contribute to the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, promoting sustainability across operations.
In coordination with the management team and plant managers, define the industrial organization model and identify investments required to maintain and enhance production competitiveness.
Define and monitor key industrial performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Ensure customer satisfaction through effective procurement, warehousing, and delivery operations.
Oversee purchasing and supplier management activities, guaranteeing competitive sourcing and optimal stock control.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Approximately 20 years of professional experience within the FMCG or consumer goods sector, combining strong Sales/Commercial and Industrial/Operations expertise.
Direct and proven experience in the management of multiple manufacturing plants, with responsibility for production performance, investments, and operational efficiency.
Proven General Management track record in a mid‑sized company, ideally under private equity ownership.
Demonstrated experience in integration projects, change management, and organizational transformation.
Solid background combining multinational structure discipline with entrepreneurial agility.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach and strategic vision.
Full P&L responsibility and deep financial and operational acumen.
Recognized for leadership, energy, and the ability to inspire and align teams toward ambitious goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a structured and methodical working style.
- Fluent in English.
- French is highly desirable.
