Civil & Structural Design Digitalization Specialist

It develops and implements innovative technologies supporting the energy transition and offers Sustainable Technology Solutions and Integrated E&C Solutions for fertilizers, hydrogen, CO₂ capture, fuels, chemicals, and polymers – is seeking a Civil & Structural Design Digitalization Specialist to join Tecnimont S.p.A., within the Civil & Structural function.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

The Civil & Structural Design Digitalization Specialist is responsible for defining, configuring and supporting digital workflows and tools, used in civil engineering design processes. The role is part of the Civil & Structural Department and collaborates closely with the Civil & Structural Design Digitalization Group Leader on BIM methodology and digital transformation initiatives. He/She may be assigned to one or more projects to ensure the effective implementation of BIM methodologies and digital workflows across the task force, being responsible for overseeing and training BIM Coordinators to ensure the application of digital methodologies and procedures, specifically in Civil & Structural applications.

According to expertise and experience, the following tasks will be assigned:

• ensuring the effective use and adoption of digital tools for Civil & Structural BIM authoring, data management, design coordination, and documentation issuance;
• supporting project BIM Coordinators in setting up Autodesk Revit templates, Autodesk Forma hubs and providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure deliverable quality and compliance with contractual and planning requirements;
• conducting quality and consistency checks on custom company databases and 3D models within the discipline;
• contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of departmental and corporate standards, procedures and work instructions related to Civil & Structural Digital Design methodologies;
• working closely with other Civil & Structural Design Digitalization Specialists to ensure coherence and accuracy across digital workflows between the different disciplines (e.g. Concrete, Steel and Underground).

Personal Attributes:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar;
• 2-5 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator using Revit and Navisworks, ideally within plant engineering environments;
• 1-3 years of experience as a BIM Specialist using Revit, including expertise in creating and managing Revit families;
• advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit;
• solid understanding of Autodesk Dynamo and Autodesk Navisworks;
• strong working knowledge of Autodesk Forma (formerly BIM 360 / ACC);
• fluent in spoken and written English;
• open to travel for both short-term and long-term assignments.

Plus:

• working knowledge of Tekla Structures and Autodesk Civil 3D;
• proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, and Excel, for data analysis and visualization;
• familiarity with interoperability workflows involving Aveva E3D and Intergraph Smart 3D.
• International experience, with the ability to operate effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
