Clean Room Technician

2D Photonics · Italia, Greater Pisa Metropolitan Area, Italia ·

Descrizione dell'offerta

At 2D Photonics and CamGraPhIC we develop ultra-high bandwidth, low-latency optical interconnects for generative AI, cellular, and high-bandwidth data transfer applications.

Our Graphene Integrated Photonics (GIP) offers superior capabilities for next-generation transceivers. The way we incorporate graphene with silicon photonics preserves its unique electro-optical properties and enables a next generation of optical interconnect devices with reduced electronic complexity, improved energy consumption, and higher channel density.

At CamGraPhIC in Pisa, Italy we run the 700 sqm Inphotec Graphene Photonics development facility, where our team of industry-leading scientists, process development and photonics engineers are pioneering the design and fabrication of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) incorporating Graphene.

CamGraPhIC Srl is a wholly owned subsidiary of 2D Photonics SpA

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled Clean Room Technician to join our team developing industry-leading photonic fabrication processes. You will have a strong track record working in a Clean Room environment collaborating with both process engineers and technicians on development, fabrication and facility management. This is a highly valued, key role fundamental to the smooth running of our facility.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting plasma, high temperature furnace and/or optical lithography processes
  • Managing wet chemical benches, including setup and solution preparation, wet processes, waste treatment, managing chemicals stocks and inventory, interacting with suppliers
  • Metrological characterization (optical microscopy, ellipsometry, profilometry, SEM)
  • Supporting packaging processes for electronic/photonic modules, including die attach and wire bonding processes and high-precision alignment of optical components
  • Optical inspection and mechanical testing for validation of packaging processes
  • Contributing to a safe and stable environment, performing typical maintenance and calibration; supporting external service technicians
  • Supporting facility management (conditioning, water dispense, toxics abatement and neutralizing, gas bunker)
  • Supporting waste disposal and facility documentation

What we need to see?

  • High School Diploma in technical fields (chemical, mechanical or similar). A Bachelor’s Degree would be a plus.
  • Experience working in a scientific laboratory
  • Familiarity with a clean room environment
  • Experience with inventory management and chemicals treatment
  • Experience in facility management and/or equipment maintenance
  • Experience with nanotech process development (lithography, deposition, etching, …).
  • Experience with standard material characterization techniques (optical microscopy, ellipsometry, profilometry, SEM)
  • Experience with microelectronics packaging technologies (wirebonding, die attach, PCB soldering, adhesive dispensing and curing…)
  • Strong practical and problem-solving-oriented attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Fluent in Italian (English is a plus)
  • Eligibility to work in Italy

We look forward to reviewing your application!
