Job summary
As a Client Advisor in J.P. Morgan's Private Banking business, you will contribute to business growth by deepening client relationships and retaining assets through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, lending, and financial planning. Your role involves communicating market strategies and investment insights to clients, consulting to determine their portfolio objectives, and managing long-term asset allocations. The investment universe includes Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives, and global Multi-Asset mandates. You will also be responsible for delivering a comprehensive wealth management experience and engaging resources to enhance client satisfaction.
Job responsibilities
- Manage and maintain client relationships by earning trust, understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, developing thoughtful solutions, and delivering exceptional service.
- Generate business results by deepening existing client relationships and acquiring new assets through proactive business development and referrals.
- Ensure client account profiles are complete and accounts are maintained in compliance with J.P. Morgan's Risk and Control Management policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
- Understand clients’ goals to develop and implement investment plans, including holistic asset allocation, portfolio management, and tactical shifts, along with wealth planning, credit, and banking needs.
- Conduct investment reviews to validate objectives, prepare recommendations, and ensure solutions meet clients’ needs through a holistic, goals-based planning approach.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Several years of experience in Private Banking working with high and ultra-high net worth Italian individuals, including family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, executives, single-family offices, and endowments.
- Strong network and reputation within the Italian private client sphere.
- Previous business development experience, including profiling, negotiation, and proactive referral solicitation.
- Knowledge of investments, credit, banking, and wealth advisory concepts, including asset allocation, portfolio management, and wealth planning.
- Experience with equity, fixed income markets, and alternative investments such as Hedge Funds and Private Equity.
- Achievement-oriented with attention to detail and a focus on exceeding business goals.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Asset allocation or multi-asset class sales experience is preferable; CFA designation is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a culture valuing innovation, customer service, partnership, and entrepreneurship.
- Strong relationship management, presentation, interpersonal skills, motivation, and a positive attitude.
