Co-Founder & CTO x Fishalytics

Fishalytics , a growing startup within the G-nous Ventures portfolio , is looking for a Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take over and lead the development of our AI-powered platform. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology, strategy, and future growth.

In the initial phase , you will deeply understand the current product architecture and technology stack, ensuring a seamless transition. After this phase, you will build and lead an in-house development team to drive future innovation and scalability. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset.

You will work closely with the founding team to shape the technological direction of Fishalytics, ensuring that our AI-driven solutions for marine and environmental applications continue to evolve and scale effectively .

As a co-founder, you will have a plan to get a significant equity stake , aligning your success with the company’s long-term growth.

What you will do

• Take full ownership of the existing platform developments.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap, driving continuous improvements in architecture, performance, and scalability.
• Lead full-stack development efforts, using React, Python Django, and PostgreSQL.
• Optimize and scale cloud infrastructure to support SaaS architecture and data growth.
• Enhance IoT device and sensor integrations to improve system monitoring and operational efficiency.
• Develop and refine AI/ML models for biological and environmental applications, with a focus on predictive modeling.
• Leverage satellite data for environmental analysis, particularly in weather forecasting and marine monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams to align the technical strategy with company goals.
• Ensure best practices in security, scalability, and performance across all technical operations.
• Oversee UX/UI strategy, ensuring that the platform’s features are designed and implemented for optimal usability and engagement.
• Build and lead the in-house development team, hiring key engineering talent to scale Fishalytics after the initial transition phase.

Who we are looking for

• 5+ years in software development, with experience leading an early-stage Biotech startup.
• Proven expertise in full-stack development with React, Python Django, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience optimizing and scaling cloud infrastructure to support multi-tenant SaaS architecture and data growth.
• Familiarity with IoT devices and sensors for monitoring and optimizing operational systems.
• AI & ML Experience: Hands-on experience with AI/ML models for biological and environmental applications, particularly in predictive modeling.
• Experience with satellite data analysis for environmental applications, specifically for weather forecasting and marine monitoring.
• Experience in digital product development and agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices, ensuring the optimal usability and engagement of platform features.
• Demonstrated strengths in visionary technical leadership, building and inspiring high-performing engineering teams, and communicating effectively to drive strategic technical direction and efficient execution.
