Job responsibilities:
The Collection Merchandising Sr. Manager Fashion Accessories & Lifestyle is accountable for the global business results of the categories under their perimeter. The position ensures the Product Merchandising strategy, design, market analysis, and execution for the assigned categories, considering regional specificities in line with the global brand strategy. The role reports to the Collection Merchandising Director Woman Leather Goods and is based in Rome.
Main Responsibilities
- Define objectives and provide strategic direction and action plans to develop the positioning and performance of the categories, enhancing consumer and brand experience in line with the company's overall strategy.
- Develop product merchandising briefs, collaborate with design and product development teams to propose impactful collections for show and commercial purposes, leveraging the brand DNA and modernity.
- Support the collection design and development cycle, from design to showroom presentations, ensuring timely market entry, margins, and positioning.
- Monitor the product development process from inception to discontinuation, including briefs, planning, positioning, pricing, and financial performance analysis.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and retail teams to ensure an efficient go-to-market process.
- Work with communication teams to develop and implement a coherent 360° marketing strategy for collections and launches.
- Assist in category sales budgeting and planning, monitor sales, margins, and stock targets, and take corrective actions as needed monthly.
- Partner with markets and retail teams to improve category performance, customer experience, and market share.
Profile:
- Proficiency in collection merchandising excellence and data-driven decision making is essential.
- Relevant experience in product merchandising within the luxury industry.
- Strong knowledge of current market and consumer trends.
- High product sensitivity and passion for women’s categories.
- Ability to interact flexibly and diplomatically with stakeholders.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple development calendars.
- Broad understanding of the luxury landscape and target customers.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
