JOB ROTATION PROGRAM IN SARAS COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT
Saras is looking for people with potential who want to start their own career development through a challenging path in the Commercial area in one of the leading oil refining companies in Europe, fully integrated in the Vitol group, a world leader in the energy sector.
Our induction programme is based on job rotation within the Commercial area over 24/36 months. It will offer the opportunity to work in an innovative, international and collaborative environment, where you will learn, grow and contribute.
Your path will start in the position of Commercial Analyst, that will allow you to become familiar with issues relating to market risk: in this position you will take care of risk analysis, exposure management, PNL tracking, enabling traders and brokers to determine how market moves are impacting their positions; then your journey will continue in the Operations function, which works in support of our commercial activities: a bridge between the commercial teams in Milan and London and the team in charge of the logistics of our refinery in Sarroch (CA), which ensures the maritime cargo operations of crude oil and oil products, from planning to final delivery.
Working in close coordination with the commercial teams in Milan and London, you will immediately have the opportunity to get familiar with Crude and Products Optimisation and Trading Operations. Here you will be able to continue your development, ensuring that crude supply activities and semi-finished and finished products sales are fully aligned with commercial strategies and objectives.

THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Speaks English fluently
- Has a degree in Economics or Engineering with an excellent academic record, preferably in an analytical discipline
- Shows a strong quantitative and analytical capability and comfort with Excel
- Has a clear understanding of accounting and valuation concepts
- Is a team player, with an open interpersonal approach and a high level of personal integrity
- Is results oriented, aiming for continuous improvement
- Shows excellent attention to detail
- Has an ability to work accurately under pressure
- Is able to interact effectively with different stakeholders, and able to work across organizational and cultural boundaries
